The responsibility lies entirely with the person blackmailing you.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>Right now<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t pay and don\u2019t send more images.<\/strong> Paying usually doesn\u2019t stop blackmail, and they may ask for more.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t delete the conversation.<\/strong> Take screenshots showing the account name, its link and the date.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stop contact<\/strong> once you have documented, and don\u2019t argue with them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Secure your accounts:<\/strong> change your passwords and turn on two-factor authentication.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Report the account<\/strong> to the platform (Facebook, Instagram\u2026). Platforms have special procedures for intimate images.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>If intimate images were shared or are threatened<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stopncii.org\" rel=\"noreferrer\">StopNCII.org<\/a> lets you protect your images from being posted on many platforms without sending the image itself \u2014 only a \u201cfingerprint\u201d is created on your phone.<\/p>\n<h2>You are not alone<\/h2>\n<p>Talk to someone you trust and, if you feel in danger, call <strong>1899<\/strong>.
